There are three different ways to add sources to your Zotero:
1.)The Connector
2.)Manual Entry
3.)Identifier
The connector is arguably the most convenient way to add sources, as it allows you to add while you are searching for research material. This way, you don't have to jump back and forth between the Zotero app and your browser to copy and paste information. The option to download the connector is present on the webpage where you download Zotero. (Shown on the Introduction page.)
Once you've located a source you want to add in your browser, click on the "Puzzle-Like" icon and click on "Zotero Connector" - from here, the source will be added to your Zotero.
Manual entry requires you to select the specific source type (Book, Article, Webpage, etc.) and enter each piece of information on said source. To add manually, click on the "Paper Plus" icon and enter the source's information. For example: the title, author, series, and so forth. Any information you see included with your source should be added to ensure the most accurate citation.
The other option to add a source is by identifier - DOI, ISBN, etc. To add a source this way, simply open the source of choice, find the identifier, then copy and paste into the search bar.
