Unsure of which Databases to search for Chemistry sources? Here is where we recommend starting:
ACS Journal Archive & Web Editions
A division of the American Chemical Society, ACS Publications supports researchers through journals, eBooks, scientific programs, and the news magazine Chemical & Engineering News.
A database produced by the National Agricultural Library (NAL), consists of two subsets of records. The first contains citations for journal articles that include abstracts. The second consists of bibliographic records describing monographs, serials, audiovisual materials and online content from around the world. Alternate Name(s) Primary Source
arXiv.org is a highly-automated electronic archive and distribution server for research articles. Covered areas include physics, mathematics, computer science, nonlinear sciences, quantitative biology, quantitative finance, statistics, electrical engineering and systems science, and economics.
Produced by Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS), is the most comprehensive database for the chemical literature, searchable by topic, author, substances by name or CAS Registry Number, OR use the editor to draw chemical structures, substructures, or reactions. It's a core research tool for chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering, materials science, nanotechnology, physics, environmental science and other science and engineering disciplines.
Free database that provides a comprehensive collection of Chemistry research. Users can search chemicals by name, molecular formula, structure, and other identifiers.
Science and engineering database that possesses a range of academic sources such as peer-reviewed articles and journals and book chapters.
Free crystallography database searchable by crystal parameters and references and returns the CIFs.
