Off Campus Access

Are databases asking you for a password?
Are you off-campus?

The Library now uses OpenAthens as a proxy server!

Be sure to use a library provided link to the database you wish to use. You should be prompted for your Juniata username and password. After entering those you will be authenticated as a Juniata user for the remainder of your browser session.

Browsing eBrary

eBooks through eBrary are searchable through eBrary itself, or through Proquest.

  • Requires network access
  • Items can be viewed in an endless scroll.
  • To Download, users must create a free account.
  • Items that can be checked out, are available for 14 days.
  • Each book has a limited # of pages that can be copied or printed per browser view.

Using eBooks in Ebscohost

eBooks through eBook Collection (EBSCOhost):

  • Require network access
  • Are only viewable one page at a time.
  • Downloads require the creation of a free personal account.
  • Items downloadable are checked out for up to 7 days.
  • Offline use requires Adobe Digital Editions  (also requires a personal ID creation).
  • Print and saving pages differs book to book (0 - 100).
  • Copy and paste options vary book to book.

Project Gutenburg / Internet Archive

Digitized materials from around the world. Most items freely accessible in online viewers or downloadable in a variety of formats (pdf, html, epub, etc).
