American of College & Research Libraries

Academic librarians utilize the ACRL framework in their information literacy sessions.

Our library, or information literacy, sessions align the six frameworks to the Juniata College curriculum to ensure teaching methodologies are aligned with current and professional practices. Sessions are centered around learning objectives specific to the course and connected framework.

More information directly from the official ACRL webpage can be found here.

Student Partnership

The librarians are here to assist you! Our librarians can provide you with tips on locating and accessing information, citation guidance, and evaluating information. Library professionals are information experts trained in guidance for college students on how build a solid foundation in searching and information literacy, as well as providing advanced search tips to students that seek to enhance their research skills.

Librarians offer scheduled reference meetings that provide individualized assistance related to student's topic of study. They also provide open reference hours at the information desk.
